Parked amidst the survivors of the KLu- Starfighters at Ypenburg, July 1987, Fokker- built F-104G D-8268 still looks reasonably healthy after a couple of years outside storage.
D-8268 made its first flight on 26 May 1964 and entered service with OCU F-104 on 9 September that year. Retired at Volkel in November 1984 and flown to Ypenburg the same month. D-8268 still is with us, being preserved on an pole in the Dutch town Zwolle.
