San Lesmes Church is located at Calle San Lesmes, s/n. The church was built in the 15th century over the remains of the San Juan Evangelista Chapel. It was built to house the remains of San Lesmes, who was the patron saint of the town and dedicated himself to the care of pilgrims who were taking the Road to Santiago de Compostela. The church was renovated one century after it was built. The style of the church is Gothic but the façade has little decoration, except for the doorway, the rose window and the bell tower. It has a stone pulpit and this pulpit is considered the most beautiful pulpit in Burgos. There is a Plateresque choir situated near the main altar. There are several sepulchers on the sides. The sepulcher of San Lesmes is located in the central zone near the altar and is made of alabaster, with the image of the saint on its cover. There are several altarpieces in the church and it has the parochial museum too, with paintings in the Chapel of Ruiz de Camargo.
