The Maiden Voyage of the "San Salvador"

"The San Salvador under the command of Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo, arrived at the port we now call San Diego on September 28, 1542, before proceeding further north in search of new trade routes that would link Mexico to Asia and Europe.
She was the first recorded European vessel to sail along Southern California, and survey its coastline." - Source San Diego Maritime Museum

This replica was built by members of the San Diego Maritime Museum and had her maiden voyage on September 4, 2015

I see what you meant about her looking a bit top heavy, Walter.
I would love to see her under sail, but an excellent photo all the same! V+

With the flags blowing in the stiff breeze and the angle of this ship, you really captured an excellent view. Too bad she was not under sail. I really like the lighting and beautiful blue colors in this image Walter. Voted+
