abandoned

along highway 6 south of Tobermory, Ontario

farming is prevalent on the Bruce Peninsula, although this particular place seemed abandoned...even the hay bales don't look too fresh

The use of the hay bales, stale though they may be, is a great choice for the foreground of this image. A place I would like to have explored if I were there. I am sure Glenn would too. ~V~

David you really selected a wonderful vantage point for this capture. The perspective of the hay bales really creates strong leading lines mirroring the perspective of the building while the light and colors are superb. Very well shot. Voted+

Nicely composed image from this vantage point. The old bales add a bit if a surreal effect.

With corporations taking farmland over, maybe this is the result ? Sad sight V

Nicely composed to show the heft of the bales. There must have been a strong wind off the lake. V
Martin Lamoon27-Oct-2015 20:23
Sad if its abandoned, although the barn needs a little attention.

Certainly doesn't look like it has been habitable for some time, and the hay looks like it has been there awhile too, as you say. But the image itself is terrific. V

Helen Betts27-Oct-2015 17:25
Very nicely composed capture of this abandoned farmstead. I wonder why anybody would waste bales of hay like that.

Beautiful composition with the framing of the hay bales. The fram house looks more dramatic in this pov, David. VvV
