Tempio di Minerva. The Temple is an ancient Roman building built in the 1st century BC, and now houses a church, Santa Maria sopra Minerva,
built in 1539 and renovated in the Baroque style in the 17th century. The attribution to the goddess Minerva derives from the discovery of a female statue,
although a stone dedicated to Hercules has also been found, and the temple was likely dedicated to him. Only the original façade remains,
the rest having been demolished during the construction of the church in the 16th century.
