Another “early bird” from the first day of our Costa Rica trip was this Bay Wren. For me it was very special to get a nice open shot of this one. In my previous experience, they love to stay hidden and on all of my previous encounters the photos were always obstructed. It has just been one of those birds that simply refused to cooperate with me. Back when I was preparing for my first ever birding trip to Costa Rica I remember looking through the field guide and picking Bay Wren as one of the birds I would like to photograph. Now after many trips I finally got a photo that I am pleased with.
