This sight was quarried for many years for Dinosaur bones to be sold to Museums. On October 4, 1915, 80-acres of fossil-rich land in Northeast Utah were set aside as Dinosaur National Monument to protect "an extraordinary deposit of Dinosaur remains of the Jurassic period.
