Chatelherault

Hamilton

This is just half of the former hunting lodge that was part of the estate of Hamilton House.
That house was demolished in 1921. The size of the lodge gives some impression of what the house must have been like.
Now the old estate grounds are part of a public park, and a super place it is being about 10 miles from the centre of Glasgow.

And last was for walking.

What a pity the house is gone. What remains is impressive.v

A fine shot of this building. Like the sunlit circle from the white gate and arch.

What an amazing lodge!

The shadows and light are excellent, and it surely looks like a grand building, even if just half of a hunting lodge.
