I too started off with a Praktica. An LTL in 1972. Cameras from East Germany and Russia were always cheap - maybe subsidised to earn western currency - and political favour maybe :-)
That LTL gave me some fine photos.

Reminds me of my old Petri. I have some good old cameras that I have saved too. I don't plan to part with them. Good one for the challenge too. V
