In the post dust bowl years a small manufacturing company
arose in the central plains that eventually provided
equipment to practically every farmer and harvester
who owned a combine back in the day. This Hesston
combine is parked under the shed of what may have been
a tobacco barn, used for curing tobacco leaves. If it
was a tobacco barn the chinks would have been caulked with
clay, now long gone. That is a cotton field to the left
and rows of chicken houses further back.
