Butrint is situated
in the southern part of Albania, beside Lake Butrint,
only 10 Kilometres from Corfu (Greece), via the Vivari
Channel. The theatre there which was built during the
third century BC had hierarchically organised seating
which took advantage of the slope of the acropolis hill.
