We had a day to go around and see stuff in the St. George area before our Road Scholar photography class starts. We headed about 30 miles up I-15 to the western side of Zion National Park, a less traveled area. There was a nice short hike at Kolob Canyon Which gave us some nice views. This is one that Ginny took. Nice, I think. After that we headed back to do some sightseeing in town. We went to the Brigham Young winter home which was interesting. As with anything Mormon, there was quite a bit of telling the story of the LDS, but it was done well, and I learned a bunch. Still not interested in a free copy of The Book of Mormon, however. You have to hand it to these guys, they are sincere, dedicated and tenacious.
In the evening we met up with our photography group. We had a nice dinner and afterwards attended a photography lecture which was pretty much non-technical. It was more like "Zen and the art of Photography." It was interesting.
Let the wild party begin!
