So we eventually roll into Huddersfield where our "express" to Shepley was idling in Platform 2.

We skipped the chance of a drink in the Head of Steam as it was "Ale Trail" and "Saturday night out" time and was heaving with drunks.
.
It was amusing to see them all trying to board the TPE for the airport, but sadly it only managed 30 yards before yet another faulty door cause the service to be stopped and eventually cancelled. Platform 4 was put into emergency use for the west bound trains that were stacked up between Huddersfield and Deighton
.
So with that bit of excitement we settled down to rattle our way back to Shepley and home...the end of another good week out.

Highlights.....the little office in Leeds that sorted out the reservations for us eventually....the brunch on the way to Newton Abbot...and the Class 37s

Lowlights... the miserable "so-and-so" at Wakefield who couldn't be bothered....Greater Anglia trains apart from the 37s....and the northern driver who failed to stop where his customers were expecting him to, also at Wakefield although he was the best part of the way to Doncaster before he stopped! A prize plonker.

Time to start planning next year's week I think.
