By the time we got to Lime Street the chaos and crowds had dispersed but the station pub had closed its door until 7pm just in case. The other pub was heaving so our last day drink was put on hold.

Despite some confusion over platforms our TPE arrived and departed almost on time.

Unfortunately it was stuck behind a stopper so lost more time along the way so was 15 down by the time we hit Manchester Victoria.

It was then stuck behind another stopper until Stalybridge, so not until we cleared Stalybridge, it was a crawl. The guard was good at keeping everyone up to date.
