I have the song "This Ol' House" running through my head right now. I like the way both the hedge and the back wall are used to make a central "V" for the image.

Sad. Desolate. Wonderful.

A well planned angle of capture and a very well shot photograph but also an image of despair and decay. A strong message with a lot of sadness. Voted

It seems funny to me to see the satellite dishes on these dilapidated old houses... you've had several now. V

Great documentary shot! V
Helen Betts03-Sep-2015 08:23
I like the low POV getting the trash in the yard in view. The house must be abandoned, but wonder why they left the satellite dish. V.
Patrick Goossens03-Sep-2015 07:56
Sad to see this when so many people have no house. Great capture and message.

Powerful shot. They manage to afford satellite TV, though.
Walter Otto Koenig03-Sep-2015 01:04
Very effective choice of vantage point and perspective makes this a compelling image of this "peeling" house. "V"
