This was our last full day in the Portland area. It was sort of an interlude before we get back to our hard core touring. We had one more chance to visit with Ginny's mother and we were happy to see that her Brother Joe was at the house as well. We had a nice visit then we headed out for Ginny's high school reunion (actually, 65th birthday party which would be the 47 reunion, but who is counting?) Since I knew hardly anybody there I just sat in the bar, drinking coffee and watching golf on TV. It reminded me of why I never was attracted to golf in the first place. If you are going to enjoy the outdoors, why screw up the experience by whacking a golf ball then trying to find it for the next shot. I know some people really like the game. My sons are in that camp. I tried it a couple times and was so crappy at it that I never came back. If you are a golfer, enjoy your game. Don't invite me to accompany you unless I can drive the cart and drink beer all afternoon.
