This was the one train I thought we might find busy as it was one of the first trains from Edinburgh to the South West. Our worry was misplaced as the train in first class was basically empty as we left Wakefield.

I think this was the same set as we had used the day before as the Wi-Fi problem was present again and so no reservations.

What did amuse us was when the odd passenger joined the train they came and sat next to us...even though the carriage was empty. At one station the station staff escorted an elderly lady to her seat that was a single opposite a seat already occupied....their we loads of empty seats but they sat her facing backwards opposite someone. At least the bloke then had the nouse to move!
