So 2 hours after leaving London we arrive in the West Country, having ticked off the Newbury/Westbury line and the Pullman experience. We wave goodbye to the HST as it carries onto Penzance and await our next HST (Cross Country version) to take us back to Wakefield.

First visit to Newton Abbot and found again that the trains and station were reasonably busy.
