Street Flooding

Well the front came through along with the heavy rains. It rained for only 30 minutes yet my rain gauge recorded 1.5 inches - enough to cause the corner to flood because it couldn't handle that much rain (partly because debris blocks the drain). The Town came out and put 4 cones around the water but made no attempt to clean out the drain (no surprise to me). The temperature is down as well as the humidity. What a relief to be able to stand outside and feel the coolness.

Very jealous of this scene:-) Hoping that the El Nino off in the Pacific Ocean brings us a healthy rainy Winter.

Nice reflected capture and like yourself, very grateful that the humidity has gone with the temperature returning to more seasonal values..

Wow, that's an awful lot of water, but glad the rain brought some cooler temperatures. Great reflections in the capture, too.

I remember as a kid trying to keep the street storm drains clear, it was fun out in the rain with a rake pulling sticks and stuff out! Oh to be a kid again! Nice reflection in the water! :-)
