As I watched, this Green Heron jumped into the water and back on this stump with its catch. They are so fast! At least I caught it with the catch in its beak, but it wasn't long before it swallowed its meal. It's interesting how little green is on the Green Heron, just a hint of green in the wings and green on top of its head. The image was made at Delta Ponds.
