If Brisbane has a choice between a flight path that sends the planes higher or further away, this graph shows that there is an upper limit to how high the planes taking off from SFO, can get over Brisbane. It is about 5,500 feet. However there appears to be a cut off horizontally where planes over 4,500 feet horizontally away, do not create noise events over 65db. We are better off with the flight path further away. Note the Southwest airlines B737 plane from Oakland. It was over 7,000 feet and more than 5,000 feet away from the noise monitor. Noisy.
Remember that the 65 db is an FAA determined cut off. We still hear the planes that are creating noise events less than 65db including ones from Oakland.
