End Band Net-winged Beetle (Calopteron terminale)

Stony Swamp, Ottawa

This species was a lifer for me today! I found it trundling along the stem of a goldenrod plant while looking at the bees. Net-winged Beetles are named for the raised, net-like pattern of veins on the elytra.
