Caterpillar on red oak, Symmerista?

Reveler Conservation Area

This tiny caterpillar, about 1/4 inch in size, was drifting slowly down on a silken thread from a red oak tree. I lifted it back onto a leaf and was surprised at how pretty it was when viewing the photo later. It could be a very early instar of the Symmerista genus.
