My big summer read

Ok, so thanks to the Irish weather, I won't be reading this at the beach, but I'm really enjoying catching up with Zadie Smith's prize-winning debut novel 'White Teeth'.
I loved her more recent book 'NZ,' and this too is a great celebration of multi-cultural London told with a wonderful humour and zest for life.

You always manage to create an interesting, timeless and romantic still life with every day props. Clever work! LOVE the colors. I'm not a reader, no attention span. But I hope you enjoy! V

delightful image, and colour co-ordinated throughout, even the curtains...did not know of this book, but it must be popular with dentists...yesterday went looking for Enright's latest novel, The Green Road, and could not find a copy...just as well as it is still only available in hardback...with A Nest Of Simple Folk, by O'Faolain, almost finished, might now look for Smith's yarn instead..

Baaaah to Alan's Kindle LOL!!
Nothing replaces turning and brushing your hand over a crisp page. Too many distractions on the beach...
Love how you have designed your shot...well done.
Hope you had as good a day as possible !!

Reading at the beach is overrated; sand gets into all of the wrong places.
There's some nice reading light in this shot, but not much space to sit back and relax to read. (Though even if there was it's likely that a ginger cat would be occupying the chair.)
I see the venerable wooden surface that adds mood to many of your images, and throws back to the feel of yesteryear... much like paper books. Oooh, that reminds me, I need to put my Kindle on the charger! We'll convert you eventually...

In fact, this image would be the cover of a book... V
