The Lutfi Mosque was built by a defterdar (Treasurer, under Beyazid II and Selim I) Ahmed Çelebi, but as there was a bath (ande fountain) nearby that was called Lutfi Paşa’s bath that name was attached to the mosque. The mosque has been restructured in 1958. I understood from the notice on site that probably only the mihrab has traces of the old building.
