We had another day with lots of dirt road driving. We saw some neat stuff and ended up late in the day photographing birds at Latrabjarg, the western most place in Europe. I still find it hard to think of Iceland as Europe, but there you go. It turns out that late in the day is the best time for photographing the birds because the sun is situated is such a way that it lights the side of the bird you are photographing. Today's photo is one that Ginny took of the razorbills. Unless the sun is shining on their heads, you get no contrast and everything looks black. You can see that the head is actually a bit of dark brown, and with the sunlight you can see quite a few features. As always, we shot lots of frames and got a few that were usable.
