Sweepstakes (also known as Sweeps) was a Canadian wood schooner built in Burlington, Ontario in 1867. It was damaged off Cove Island then towed to Big Tub Harbour, where it sank in September 1885. The remains of Sweepstakes lie in Big Tub Harbour, located in the Fathom Five National Marine Park, in Tobermory, Ontario, Canada.

An amazing shot. How can something so old survive under water for so long.

That's a great find. For its age it does seem to be in remarkably good condition.

Eerie, but beautiful.

This seems like an accidental cryonics preservation for ships, and brings to mind another natural time capsule, insects trapped in amber.

Very interesting and it's wonderful to be able to see an actual shipwreck without diving down to the dark dark deep. The water there looks nice and clear. I'm amazed that it still looks that good!
