A parent surfaced with a fish and tried to get the baby's attention. This is one of the
youngest loons I've ever seen. Just a ball of fluff.
Finally it swam over to the parent who kept flipping the fish over and over.
Then the other parent drifted by preening and that distracted the baby.
At last feeding time.
Surprising that such a large fish can go down the hatch. What a treat it was to see this family.
Kudos to my husband for keeping the canoe steady in the wind and luckily the rain held off too.

A wonderful series. I am amazed at the final capture. The fish is almost as big as the baby! Well done and, yes, kudos to John for his paddling prowess.
