Note the milky, pearlescent quality of the water. The Nenana, like all the glacially fed rivers here, carry a tremendous load of very fine silt. And yes, there are fish in these rivers. Salmon swimming upstream will duck into clear running tributaries to clear out their gills before continuing on to the home stream.
