Week #1 - Mission San Rafael Chapel
by Laura Milholland

San Rafael, CA

I shot this from down low to get a little different view on the inside of the chapel.

Our local California Mission, Mission San Rafael Arcangel,
was the 20th California Mission and founded in 1817 as a "hospital asistencia" for Mission Dolores.
It was advanced to mission status in 1823. It only served as a mission for 17 years.

Oh dear, I love this...the leading lines, the guy with the hat, everything is so
perfect. V

Yes, I did shoot this handheld. I did use the articulating screen so didn't have to get quite as far down as my camera. ;) But you might have laughed at watching me get back up anyway! LOL

Laura, this is really well done. I love the POV but I would have had hard time getting back up! lol Also, did you shoot this hand-held? I will be even more impressed as it is quite sharp. I love missions and one of the many things I miss about CA.

I like this POV. The shot is very crisp and your eye immediately goes to the altar. The lines on the floor and the pews really lead you to the front. Well done!

Great shot. I agree with Dale, I like the point of view too. Makes it interesting :)

I like this point of view. Very nicely done!
