Weekend job

Painting the kitchen this weekend.
And while Fudge photobombed this pic, he'll be locked out of the kitchen while we're painting.
We don't want our golden Lab turning into a bright yellow Lab!

I hate painting. But I like the results of a freshly painted room. This shot with paint brushes at the ready has the air of optimism at the start of the job. Alas that evaporates as one washes down the walls, applies the Spakfilla to the gaps, does the sanding back, masks off the floors and ceilings, applies the undercoat, washes out the paint trays as it dries, washes the paint that inevitably gets on you no matter how careful you are, and then gets ready to do the next coat tomorrow. Wow. Still, at least you'll have a bright new kitchen at the end of it!

bristling with promise...Fudge should be helping...a touch of paint on his tail could give a unique pattern to the lower sections of the walls..
