Working in the fields
The village of "Schellen-Ursli" lies on a sunny terrace high above the Inn. Thanks to the public parking lot at the village entrance Guarda is now virtually free of traffic. The original condition of the place is well maintained and the Swiss Heritage Society has Guarda 1975 Henri-Louis Wakker Prize for exemplary care and preservation of the village. With almost 200 inhabitants Guarda is now a jewel among the Engadine villages.
