I took the photo intending to capture some of the many heat-and-drought-dead ponderosa pine and incense cedar trees throughout the California foothills above about 3,000' elevation. Sad to say, the red needles don't pull the camera lens as much as they do the eye of the human beholder. I just can't see them in the images, so this skeleton will have to stand up for the truth of climate change. Maybe this is why people in Congress are voting to squelch any talk of the warming planet; they don't see it because they're only looking (at best) at photos.
