Stanley Park

inspired by Copenhagen's Little Mermaid, Vancouver's harbour has it's own ocean-themed statue, known as Girl In A Wetsuit...today the figure suddenly sports a Team Canada jersey, as a show of support for the Women's national soccer team, about to play a World Cup quarterfinal match against England at BC Place Stadium downtown...support is huge at this tournament, with over 50,000 tickets already sold for Saturday's event...go, girls, go

I have seen the Little Mermaid in Copenhagen and this statue is very similar. The red jersey looks great on her. Good luck to Canada.

Great sign of support, I wonder how they got the Jersey over the right arm. Canada has been a gracious and welcoming host. However my money is on Germany.
