Today is both Father's Day and the summer solstice. We observed no Druids wandering about in celebration or searching for virgins to sacrifice. So, we could concentrate on the Father's Day aspect. We came home after church and had a little celebration. Ginny had a very nice card and some gifts. Chocolate bars and a bottle of Belle Meade Bourbon. We had visited the Belle Meade plantation in Nashville so this particular choice was very nice.

My sons Richard and Robert called during the day with nice Father's Day wishes. It is always fun to talk with them. This is Richard's first Father's Day. His twin sons were born last September.

We had a nice day and spent some time preparing for our week long trip to Oregon which we depart on tomorrow. Unfortunately we are flying. I hate to fly.
