3rd place: Reflections on a Pond - Brad

Brad Ross

actually a really misty day here, today, although no wind, which is why the pond is rather glassy, there was actually a misty sprinkling going on, but maybe that just makes a more a more even light, my first thought was go in and make the eye sharp, but, it wasn't sharp in real life, it was misty, not rain drops falling on your head type of raining,, so what you get, is what I saw,

Nice refection and setting for this Egret photo the lighting tells one that this is a damp gray day.

Actually I always felt shooting Egrets on a cloudy day was the best way to shoot them. When the sun is out it is so very easy to blow out parts of the birds feathers. I think this is a beauty of a shot. I love those giant lily pads and the little green clover like pond stuff. A nice reflection in the water too.
