My "home away from home" Hotel D'Argouges, in the town of Bayeux.
The hotel was built as a private residence in 1734 for the Lord D'Argouges and his family.
It survived the French Revolution and in the early 20th century was converted into an elegant boutique hotel.
As a guest you are actually staying at a mansion and eat at the original dining area.
It is a trip by itself.
