On the night of June 5th 1944 Operations Overload dropped thousands of paratroopers
all over the town of Sainte-Mere-Eglise area.
The objective was to block off all the roads and bridges so that the Allied land forces can move in.
Here, the paratroops are being dropped at the center of Sainte-Mere-Eglise.
