We have to walk about 1.7 miles along the ridge to get to Mt. Lafayette. The previous picture in the New England gallery shows the same area with a different magnification. You can barely make out the hut.
Greenleaf hut is operated by the Appalachian Mountain Club and supports through hikers on the Appalachian trail. It is located below Mt. Lafayette, high above the Franconia Notch itself.
