Yes, another picture of Gus, my buddy fledgling Black Vulture
He spent the morning on the windowsill, looking in at me while I worked at my desk.
Later, his parents came back and he left to meet them in the front yard. He has grown most of his feathers.
I noticed he can fly about 4 - 6 feet, just above the ground. He'll be flying by next week
and riding the thermals high above the earth in no time.
I've had a blast watching him grow up, although I always worry about him living in the park with dogs and kids around.
I shooed him from the parking lot the other day. I was afraid he would get hit by a car.
I'll have a lot less worries when he finally takes off for the sky.
