The Mérida Cathedral in Mérida, Yucatán, Mexico, built around 1561, is one of the oldest cathedrals in the Americas. It was built on the ruins of a Maya temple. A lot of the rocks used in this Cathedral came from the ruins of the temple and the Maya city of T'hó
