The Greenstone Track in Fiordland National Park in NZ
was so named because it was a transport route used by
the indigenous Maori trading the precious greenstone
"Poenamu", a form of jade.
This part runs along a wide glacial valley, further
carved by a river and ending at Lake Wakatipu.
