This little fellow seemed quite inured to people. He(or she) was digging around in the sandy soil, steadily ignoring our camera clicks and squawks of appreciation. It was on the edge of a camping area. Normally, you wouldn't see an echidna, except for a brief glimpse as it dug into the dirt and presented a very spiky pincushion top.
