The Sea Otters of Mull populate many of the coastlines and sightings can be seen through out the day, but patience and sharp eyes are needed.
In this case we had crept up over a period when we first spotted the otter, only crawling forward every time he dived.
Eventually secluding ourselves behind big rocks in the kelp and hoping the otter would come in our direction. Finally after a very long wet and cold wait, the otter starts to swim in our direction.
Suddenly a car pulls up and a "photographer" with a camera and red anorak, ignores our frantic signals to stand still and proceeds to walk down beside us in full view of our otter !!!
