Here you see the danger originates with the moped but also the other drivers going around the moped are just as guilty. Large trucks ( fully loaded ) travel in both directions on this road very often. Only a second or two can pass before the dump truck gets around the moped..... if hes that lucky. The driver of the car BLINDLY follows the dump truck having NO inclination at all what is on the other side. If the moped operator had any brains he would stay in the center lane making it nearly impossible to be passed in this area but he pulls to the side and lets these fools pass him. I watched this transpire long before it got to the point you see in the picture ( and stayed way back ). The moped operator had every opportunity to get off the road but didnt.
3 complete idiots in one spot. There will be a death on this bridge ... just give it time. This one moped driver lives just up the hill from here. He's on this road very often causing situations like this. This road is used VERY much by other moped operators driving from Thomasville to Lexington. They use it so to stay off the highway which is just a couple hundred yards away. Should a vehicle come in the opposite direction, I would assume the dump truck driver ( to keep from being in a head on collision) would pull over to the edge of the road and turn the moped operator into peanut butter against the side of the bridges concrete wall.
