I got a handful of these "tile" bluetooth tracking tags at a recent technology event I attended. They were giving them out for free and while I grabbed a few, I never did anything with them. Sunday mornings have the ability to turn into mayhem in my office. Cleaning camera lenses, playing with flash units and reading technology blogs and getting dumb ideas for future photo a days all seem to come calling on weekends. Today was no different and after reading about these tags, I set up the App and activated one. Holy shit! I think I'll never lose my keys again. This turned out to be a really cool little piece of technology. I am branding this as a "Mothers Day Gift" to my wife today. She'll never again have to hear me ranting about where are my keys as I am pacing thru the house looking like a madman. Now, I can call up the TILE app, hit find and just listen for the gentle electronic notes calling me to my lost keys. This is such a cool little gadget! Genius... Unless I lose my phone?
