I tried to photographed this dance, a regular performance on stage, a few years back but the images were too grainy or too blurry due to the movement . Yes, the lighting conditions were low and flash would kill the mood. This time around I planned to do things differently. I cranked up the ISO to 25,600 using a camera that handles low lighting situation really well, I chose a prime lens and shot from a fairly close position. There was a stage light outside the frame on the upper right side. The light from that stage light added to the effect. Although I anticipated the situation alright and I was better equipped this time around but I have to admit that I got lucky...the smoke moved in the direction slightly away from me.
