I have to admit that I am actually a Facebook user. My high school graduating class has started using it a fair amount, and I have been able to keep up with quite a few classmates through Facebook.
If you are not familiar with it, at the top of your personal page you can have a profile picture and a cover photo. The cover photo has an odd aspect ratio which is 851X315. When you upload a cover photo picture, Facebook crops it to the above mentioned ratio. The result for most of the computer and camera illiterate is often a picture with important stuff cropped out. Most people, myself included, don't think about such an aspect ratio when we are shooting pictures. I have made it a habit to troll through my photo database and select ones that can be cropped to 851X315 and end up with a reasonable composition. So today's photo is the one I recently uploaded for my cover photo. It is a hummingbird taken in the Bellavista Cloud Forest Reserve in Ecuador.
