That is McCall Point, at 1,722 feet elevation, as seen from the trailhead. Once the trail starts up the ridge on the left to the summit, it is extremely steep, and approaches my aging fragility limit. When the trail is wet, it is absolutely treacherous, but it was dry today, and so I lived to tell about it. It was about 7:30 AM when I took this picture, and the lighting still had a red cast to it, which I preserved in the image.
