Although albinism is fairly frequent in Red-tailed Hawks (we see about five per year at Hawk Ridge, Duluth), I haven't previously seen any photos of albinism in Harlan's Hawk- and its even cooler that its a light morph! We know this is a light morph Harlan's because of the white base color to the plumage with no rufous tones, the marbling rather than barring in the flight feathers, the small blob-like streaks on the belly (no barring), the whitish tail with dark streaks and marbling, the pale face, and the dark patagials (would be more faint in Krider's)
